English Day 2014

Much joy was seen on 17th January 2014 at St Stephen’s Girls’ Primary School. It was a day of sharing fun learning activities in English between students, parents and staff. The P4, P5 and P6 classes prepared plays and with follow-up activities and questions sharing with the younger P1, P2 and P3 students.

‘Rumpelstiltskin’, ‘The Magic Porridge Pot’ and ‘mixed up’ fairytales, have never been presented with such enthusiasm and careful planning. The responsibility and creative thinking shown by the ‘big sisters’ for the ‘little sisters’ is a fine example of the vision of our school. A sense of community was also shown by the enthusiastic parents, who presented to P1, P2 and P3 classes, a range of English based activities, involving problem-solving with food. Much thanks must go to these parents, giving of their time and energy to support the girls in their learning and also the teachers and staff.

The whole school community is to be congratulated on the success of English Day, which not only promoted English but also the values held as important by the school community.
